Biography :

November 2010,
“A new dawn fades”, debut album of Italian band Origod is out for One Voice Recordings.

Product and recorded by Daniele Giordana, the Italian sound engineer claiming many important live and studio collaborations with Monster Magnet, Hatebreed, Machine Head, Capricorn, Loimann and many others, through a career started 20 years ago.

The album contains seven tracks of accurate but intense post-core, mainly influenced by Mastodon, Baroness and At the Drive-In, passing by a genuine personal interpretation of genre’s standards and inspired by each component varied experiences of the past (from grind to rock-blues!).

Active from a bunch of years, Origod collected several live experiences in Turin’s area, the city the band comes from, taking part to Dracma Metal Fest 2008, organized to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Italian independent label.

For that occasion the band appeared on “Nightpieces vol. 5”, a compilation CD with big names of national underground scene like Extrema, Lapsus, Linea 77, Mindsnare and Broken Glazz.
