Formed in September 2008 in Modena (Italy), Sententia Mortis launched the first album « Mother Earthquake » in 2010. In 2011 was the time for the second work « Verbum Inferi », an evolution in sound and power. Members for both album are Demon (Ex Angryon from Mantova, Ex Seas Of Fate from Modena) on guitars and keyboards, Grober (Ex De PRofundis Clamavi from Bologna) on the bass and the singer Mauron (Ex Dominance from Reggio Emilia). Mainly Sententia Mortis sound can be located into Symphonic Black Metal with some Death and Thrash influences in some cases, starting from famos albums of the past like Enthrone Darkness Triumphant or Spiritual Black Dimension by Dimmu Borgir. Recognizable are also influences from Troll, The Kovenant (first albums) and Emperor. The main target for Sententia Mortis is to continue that sound typical of those albums of the end of the 90s. A third album is ready with other 9 tracks,it has been composed and finished (as Mother Earthquake and Verbum Inferi) by Demon two years ago. On vocals and a part of lyrics there will be a collaboration with Singer and bassguitarrist from another great Italian band Chronic Hate, death metal from north east of Italy.
