2019 - Unholy (EP)
Widundret is a heavy metal band from Östersund, Sweden. Formed in late 2017 by bassist Anders Eklund and guitarist Alexander Lundgren. The influences for the band is a blend between 70s & 80s hard rock & heavy metal, and modern heavy metal. And the members are coming from the local extreme metal scene.
Some of the songs from debut EP ‘Unholy’ was already written when guitarist Andreas Gustafsson joined the band in the winter 2017. The band tried out diffrent singers and drummers in 2018. Micael ‘Miffe’ Svan and Johan Åhs joined forces on vocals and drums later that spring.
Widundret recorded the EP ‘Unholy’ in early 2019, with a full line-up. During the process of the EP Andreas decided to part ways with the band. And in June 16th the ep ‘Unholy’ was released. Later that summer the band were joined by the guitarist Joppe, to fill the spot after Andreas departure.
