« Placate The Masses » is a Christian Metalcore / Thrashcore band from Hamilton, Ontario.
They formed in 2013 originally as a solo project by the guitarist Didier Renault, when Josiah Brand decided to collaborate with Didier to record vocals for Placate The Masses’ first album. From there, the band’s lineup added James Hyatt on bass guitar along with a rotation of various musicians filling the roles of rhythm guitar and drums over the years as they have played shows in tours across North America. Since the band’s creation, they have released two albums, self-titled « Placate The Masses » (2013) and « Born Into War » (2017). The band is currently working to release their next full-length album in the near future.
As a Christian metal band that is passionate about sharing the good news of Jesus Christ through the music they love, their lyrical and creative focus has been to write music that discusses a range of topics from God to the state of our world, while expressing it in the full emotional honesty and brutality that the genre of metal allows. Their hope is to bless listeners with the truths of the gospel combined with quality metal, for listeners from all backgrounds, whether spiritual or not.
