Sepia is an Alternative Rock band from Baltimore, MD, often described as familiar in a unique kind of way. Their music will draw you in with introspective themes, catchy hooks, and hints of 90’s nostalgia. Starting in 2006 playing acoustical folk and rock tunes, Sepia has since incorporated acoustic-based roots into a unique blend of original music. Pulling from a set of influences spanning rock, blues, and post-punk, their catalog consists of a diverse mix of well-crafted and energetic tunes. Regardless of tags or labels, they are distinctly '..::Sepia::..'.

As BlogTalkRadio’s Gettysburg Gerry describes, “they put in the work, and have a sound of their own”. 10 years later, Sepia’s live performance continues to make an impact throughout the DMV and PA. They have shared local festival billings with an array of artists including Redman, Ballyhoo, Kelly Bell Band, Jah Works, Almost Kings, and A.D.D. They’ve rocked the traditional premiere Baltimore venues like Rams Head Live and Baltimore Soundstage, and regularly host headlining events in Columbia and Burtonsville, MD. Sue Hodges Grant (Shockwave Magazine) had this to say: 'Sepia. Yep, remember that name ‘cause this Baltimore quartet is a musician’s musician band. Each distinctive, well-crafted and hook-laden song performed throughout the tight set caressed the ears and minds and then kicked the listener in the ass with some bombastic musicianship'.

In 2013, Sepia released their debut album, '…Break My Heart', mixed and mastered at Orion Sound Studios in Baltimore, MD, receiving praise from new and old fans alike. Their DIY effort expanded their presence through various local and national publications and social media outlets. Michael McGeehan from Shockwave Magazine says it best stating, “they took their time to get it right, was more than pleased with this disk from Sepia”. Brett Lake in the Carroll County Times describes 'whatever you call it, their unique blend pulls from a diverse set of influences spanning blues, rock, punk, metal and pop'. Their first single and signature song 'Little Miss Shotgun' got radio play through various outlets like Baltimore's 98 Rock, and DC101. Little Miss Shotgun was also featured on WHFS’s Locals Only Spotlight, The MARR Army Rock Show, and BlogTalkRadio’s Social Studmuffin weekly segment introduction. The band's follow up single 'Harmony' also got positive reviews, saw radio rotation on Baltimore’s 98 Rock and Ocean 98's Irie Radio in Ocean City, MD, and qualified the band for various local festival spots and press features.

After four years in making, Sepia will be releasing their second full length album 'Drop Dead, Gorgeous..'. Mixed by Ryan Matchett and mastered in Killer Penguin Productions, expected to be released in early 2018. Drop Dead, Gorgeous.. embraces the cynical world of life, relationships, competition, success and failures. Conflict and duality are often found in shades of gray, or arguably sepia tones.., but now can be heard and felt through Sepia tunes! After four years creative explosions, and the frustrations of back to the drawing board, the long awaited sophomore release will take you through the emotional ride and leave you wanting more. The gorgeous journey will burst through your speakers, until you tell it to drop dead.. The buildup to the release has already generated accolades including two song awards from The Akademia, and podcast interview from The MARR Army Rock Show through 365 Radio Network, Digital Revolution Radio, and Pure Rock Radio.
