Formed in mid 1986 originally as Drakkar. Released 3 demos prior their debut album: « Thrashcore » (1988), « From Beyond » (1990) and « Sorry, We’re Back » (1992). Their self titled debut album was originally released on cassette only in October of 1993 under local indie label Mix Records. In 2018, Underground Label Dark Recollections re released their debut album with many songs re-mixed and remastered.
Draksen was inspired by classic Heavy Metal like Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Saxon, Riot, Dio, Rainbow, Black Sabbath, etc. Thrash Metal like Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax, Sodom, Kreator, Metal Church, Megadeth, Destruction, Artillery, etc. and Hardcore Punk like Minor Threat, Misfits, Ramones, Suicidal Tendencies, Hüsker Dü, Circle Jerks, Bad Religion, Discharge, GBH, DRI, Agnostic Front, Bad Brains and Void.
