In their debut EP, Philadelphia’s Crossed Keys offer up six tracks
that make clear how important the people in their lives are in terms
of support and inspiration. I’m Just Happy That You’re Here
recognizes that, as people get older and life doesn’t turn out as
expected, there is nothing better than being around your closest
friends and singing along real loud.

Chances are, if you've been paying attention to the Philadelphia
underground music scene in the past two decades, you've seen
one or two members of Crossed Keys before, although it's also
very likely that you've seen them all. “We still sing the same old
songs, we still have the same old crews, but seasons fucking
change” sings vocalist Joshua Alvarez (Solarized, Halo of Snakes)
on “Jeff Pelly vs. The Empire,” contemplating a yearning for
familiarity while recognizing the need to grow. Guitarists Beau
Brendley (The Curse, Kill The Man Who Questions, R.A.M.B.O.)
and Dave Adoff (Step Ahead, Jackie Thousand) craft intricate
melodies while bassist Andrew Wellbrock (Zolof the Rock & Roll
Destroyer, Left Behind) and drummer Steve Roche (Off Minor,
Saetia, Amateur Party) drive the band’s upbeat, yet aggressive
sound.

Recorded by Steve Roche at Permanent Hearing Damage in the
Summer of 2017 and mastered by Carl Saff at Saff Mastering (Iron
Chic, Unsane), the EP features guest vocals from friends Dave
Hause and Marilyn McCauley (Jackie Thousand).

Crossed Keys has played venues all over the Philadelphia area,
supporting bands such as Vanishing Life, Fire in the Radio,
MakeWar, and Engines. Crossed Keys got a lot older, a little wiser,
and some lost varied amounts of hair, but nothing will ever stand in
the way of the catchy melodies, thought-provoking lyrics, sweaty
singalongs and all around good times.
