Resistors started in Brooklyn in 2012, when guitarist/vocalist Scott Wolff (Pumps, Bound & Buried, Moving Target) realized that he had a bunch of songs and no band, so he went into the studio to make a record on his own. The result was a bit of a throwback to the 1990’s melodic punk scene he grew up in, drawing influence from Good Riddance, 88 Fingers Louie and Bad Religion.

The band has released several LPs and EPs, and were also featured on the compilation for the documentary, A Fat Wreck, with their cover of the Good Riddance classic “Stand.”

To capitalize on their most successful release, Drag, Resistors immediately went into a period of complete inactivity for about eighteen months. The band was essentially dead until election night in 2016, when they decided it was time to fire up the machine and try to make up some new songs, inspired by disbelief, anger and general resentment of the results.

They're back. They're bummed. Resistors!
