Moore Lane (Single) - Released 11/1/19 on select platforms, releasing 18/1/19 on all platforms

Oceans are a pop-punk quartet from South Wales and have been a band since 2013, after the four met during their first year of comprehensive school and realised their mutual love of the same music. Their sound is reminiscent of bands like Moose Blood, Neck Deep and You Me At Six but also includes alternative rock, indie, emo and post-hardcore influences and traits. Underneath the roaring guitars and sing-a-long melodies, are complex drumming and funk-inspired bass lines. Their live shows have been described as 'fast-paced and relentless' as they power through the set of high-octane, catchy songs.

In 2017, they played three extremely well-received shows at the prestigious The Fleece in Bristol. At the age of fifteen, they progressed to the semi-final of an all-adult battle of the bands after gathering over one thousand supporters online. As well as that, Oceans have played prestigious and iconic venues around Cardiff, Newport and other venues around Bristol and the south-west. In 2018, Oceans played their first headline show, in a small venue in Pontypridd, which ended in a triple encore to a rowdy crowd of fans. Before even releasing a song, Oceans had also drawn the attention from several indie record labels and booking companies alike but have continued to be independent for the time being.

On January 11th, 2019, Oceans released their debut single 'Moore Lane' on platforms Youtube, Soundcloud and Bandcamp and it will be released on major streaming platforms the following week (Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, Deezer, Amazon Music et cetera). The single has already received positive feedback from fans, other bands and newcomers to the band alike. Recorded completely independently (in the drummer's living room), and self-released, the track means a lot to the band after it was written after a sudden loss that affected every member. In January, Oceans have two shows in Bristol (The Fleece and Exchange) as well as heading down to Swansea for the first time.

This year Oceans are planning to release more singles, as well as an EP, music videos, more headline shows, their first tour and many other things are in the pipeline.
