The Karsteins are a horror punk band from Bratislava, Slovakia. Their lyrics and concept are mainly influenced by the horror punk tradition of bands such as Misfits, Calabrese and The Crimson Ghosts, as well as the passion for horror and sci-fi movies (especially from the 1950's and the 1960's), while their main musical goal is to play powerful, energetic rock'n'roll music with a punk attitude and sound, fused with more diverse and broader influences such as '80s heavy metal, '70s hard rock and shock rock, '50's rock'n'roll and country music, and the great, aggressive punk hardcore style of classic bands such as The Dead Kennedys, DRI, Black Flag and Bad Religion.
