I’m today introducing you guys to Alain Valdés, a French rock singer who plans on releasing his new EP soon! Check out what he had to say about this upcoming release in the following interview 🙂
Hello, Alain! Thanks for taking time to answer a couple of questions for us. How are you doing? Would you mind introducing yourself as a start?
I’m a French musician, trying hard to get my indies songs out! I’m a composer, writer & also producer which is a real challenge to get a hand on the releases.
You plan on releasing your new EP in September. Would you mind introducing this upcoming release to our readers?
“Club underground #1” is a 5-track EP. High energy guitars and cool sax, the 2 colors I like to mix at this moment.
Recorded with a small band, actually 4 musicians & 2 additional for the keys and backing vocals.
Will be followed by “Club undergound #2” (7 tracks EP) in 2020… Crossing my fingers!!
From all the songs on this upcoming EP, which one it your favorite one and why?
I guess “Sabotage” is my favorite piece, a pop and jazzy-looking song, sort of, with some obscure lyrics. Love the flute counterpoint on it!
How long have you worked on this record?
I’ve made demos last February, recorded the rhythm section 2 weeks later and finished the complete recording early in June…Let’s say that is was a 4-months creating process.
I’m sure you have at least one funny story from your recording sessions to share with us!
I didn’t have the lyrics the morning of the recording session for the voices…
Is that funny enough?! The need of urgency I suppose, kind of my modus operandi.
The last words are for you. If you have a message to convey, here’s your chance!
Well as the songs are written in French except “Roustabout”… So feel free to check my page and take the opportunity to listen some goods French stuff there!!
Thanks for your time!
