Danish indie punkers Forever Unclean are back with their much anticipated new EP, “Woof”, out since June 8th 2018. But that’s not it! Now, the band is here to talk about their latest releases and upcoming projects. Check out what they had to say below!
Hello, Forever Unclean, thanks for taking time to answer a few questions for Distrolution! Could you please, as a start, list all your band members, as well as their roles in the band?
Hi Valentine. Yeah sure!
Lasse Mikkelsen – Lead singer and guitar
Troels Pedersen – Bass
Leo Wallin – Drums
There’s so many skate punk bands around the world. According to you, what do you think sets your band apart from all the other bands in your genre?
Our lack of dexterity compared to most other skatepunk bands forces us to try and get recognition from singing super loud instead.
You have recently unveiled your EP, titled “Woof”. Can you tell us more about it? For those who haven’t heard it so far, what kind of songs can we expect on this release?
A collection of short songs crammed with as many different hooks as possible.
From all the songs on this record, which one, according to you, best reflects the spirit of the EP?
Perhaps the opener ‘Sleep’. Equal measures of dispair, cocky guitars and woah-ohs. We really don’t feel like messing around, and repeating the same chorus more than twice is just a waste of everybody’s time.
How is it like, working with Disconnect Disconnect Records (UK), Bearded Punk Records (BE), Pee Records (AUS) and Hidden Home Records (US)?
The amount of faith our labels have in our silly party machine is second to none! They have put in so much time and love and our world have definitely grown bigger thanks to them.
What else can we expect from your band in 2019?
More of the same; touring, writing, recording. There is a tour in the making and a couple of festivals locked in already. Hopefully we are ready to release new music by the end of the year.
The last words are for you. If you have a message for your fans, here’s your chance!
THAAANKS! And put it in H!
