Influenced by bands such as Blink 182, State Champs or The Starting Line, All Day Up is a solo pop punk project from Portugal, created by Mike Zenha.
On November 7th 2017, All Day Up has released a new EP named ‘On the Way‘.
“It pretty much talks about hard/almost impossible relationships and kind of a “move along with it” and turn it into a party. I don’t usually write in a first person. I’m indeed used to include some kind of characters in every song lyrics. I personally give more attention to the music melody, composition, arrangement detail process rather than lyrics actually. Although, I think it’s always important to have a message in each song. This is also what I try to do with any song: positive messages mostly, energetic and catchy chords… which is what Pop Punk is all about right?! *shrug*
With this new EP, I tried to get a new sound on it as thickening guitars/vocals, clean leads on top and sick drum rolls. I think all tracks are fun to listen to, I wanted them to be catchy, not too long. They’re simplistic but complex at the same time. It makes you feel good while listening to it… well… I surely hope so at least (laughs).” explains Mike.
I have a lot of respect for each band. But even more respect for people who set up a solo project and release everything, all by themselves! You can now stream the bands new EP on all digital platforms!
