The French post hardcore / metal band Empreinte has recently unveiled a new single, titled “Lead Me Nowhere”. The latter is available to stream below for those who haven’t heard it yet.
On this new single, the band comments:
“Lead Me Nowhere comes from the lack of confidence we’ve experienced as individuals. There was a time – not so long ago – when I ran out of ideas musically speaking. Hopefully, as a band we’ve always been there for each others.
Lead Me Nowhere is a song that’s about the bonds and bridges we’re building with loved ones. It’s all about love but mostly about how strong your faith in someone can be. I guess what we’re trying to say is that we are sometimes weaker than we think and it’s totally ok to embrace that feeling by acknowledging it. The thing is, whenever you keep on loving yourself, then you can love others.
And if you can love others but don’t know where your own mind is. Or if you’re a bit lost, then, the people you blindly trust should lead you in order to show you the way. Where can they lead you? Well, the answer is: you don’t know, and if you have faith, you don’t need to know. So they might as well lead you nowhere – anywhere – it should be fine by you if you learn how to truly let it go. Sometimes you just have to sit and relax if you want to jump higher than the last time.”
