Metal trio Gus McArthur, releases the music video, “The Calling” ahead of their forthcoming EP, Chapter 2: Fanatics. This release is due out 12/8/2017!
Not the typical band, the group are more of a science fiction-meets-metal tale as Gus McArthur is not the band themselves. It’s a transdimensional being who transmits the music, style and imagery to the members of the band. The trio tell stories with each of their songs, delivering the messages of Gus McArthur through their EP’s/chapters.
Indeed, Gus McArthur is the collaborative effort of two brothers, Honan and Gordon. Each from a different musical background that in late 2014 decided to combine their unique styles into a blend of their genres and influences. The result is an EP of all new music unlike any other. It is audacious, fast, hard hitting, and lyrical all at the same time.
In late 2015, the band was solidified upon meeting their drummer Johnson “the Z” Zhang, taking their music to a new level. Together, they recorded and released Chapter 1: Hysterics, in 2016.
The band has an ever-evolving sound that develops daily. We indeed can define their sound as a mix between rock and metal, with lyrical hip hop.
Also, Gus McArthur might drop more material leading up the the release of Fanatics. You should indeed keep an eye on them!
