Synth driven pop punk outfit The Rocket aims to bring a refreshing take on the classics they all grew up with. The band has already played on big stages such as Groezrock, Europe’s biggest punk rock festival.
The Rocket are back in full effect with their new album ‘Another Reason Not to Fear the Sky’. The latter is indeed proof of the reinvigorated energy and ambition the quintet brings to the table!
“The first two songs are definitely a representative sample of the album when it comes to the general sonic signature. But the album has a lot more to offer than “Chain Reaction” and “Lost at Sea”.
We’ve got some faster, Blink-inspired tunes on the album, yet we also have a few slow burners on there. There’s a song on there that’s nearly 5 minutes long. Which isn’t all too frequent in punk rock! Then, there’s another track we cowrote with the guys in Motion City Soundtrack (on which some of them feature as well). So that obviously has some of the MCS sound in it.
All in all, I’d say the album’s pretty diverse though definitely coherent. Not in the least thanks to the guiding light our producer Marc McClusky provided during the recording sessions,” reveals guitarist Stijn.
The band’s new album ‘Another Reason Not to Fear the Sky’ is indeed available since April 26th 2018! You can directly buy it on the band’s official shop https://shop.wearetherocket.com/ ; or stream it on various digital platforms!
About the record: ‘Another Reason Not to Fear the Sky’ is named after a line from the amazing song The Permanent Rain by The Dangerous Summer.
