The French punks Bare Teeth are back with a music video for their single “Running Wild”. This song is from the band’s international punk split “Bridging Oceans”, featuring 3 other bands: Nerdlinger (Australia), Down Memory Lane (Canada) and Shames (Japan).
On this song, vocalist and guitarist Greg comments: “Running Wild is a special song about depression and loneliness. It was written by Tom, our bass player. He not only wrote the music, but also the lyrics and he is the main singer on this track. It’s a big step forward with Bare Teeth, as I used to write all the lyrics.”
Tom goes further: “The video, just like the song it illustrates, tells the tale of a person trapped alone in a room with no exit, for a reason, she doesn’t know any more than we do. We can think of it metaphorically, like she is stuck in a dangerous situation rather than in an actual place… It can happen to more people than you might think. Check your surroundings to see if someone who matters to you isn’t locked up unbeknownst to you: talking about it can be a first step towards escape.”
