Movement At Night is a one-man band founded in 2018 by Clément Demongeot, a songwriter from Nice. Nostalgic about the ‘90s, Movement At Night offers a powerful sound punctuated by rousing guitar riffs and harmonious choruses.
The band’s debut EP, “Sleep On It”, is out since April 5th 2021. On this release, Clément comments: “The EP is the completion of a project I have been working on for more than three years. Although I have worked on this project alone and even faced the current international cultural slowdown, it is the very process of creation that truly guided me. Somehow, I chose to deal with personal matters that evolve around anxiety and mental health so as to free myself.
I am mainly influenced and inspired by Indie Rock and Pop Punk from the ‘90s such as Sum 41 to Violent Soho by way of Nirvana. In truth, enumerating them would be too long. This was the time in which I grew up and which still influences me, musically and culturally speaking. This EP is the reflection of it. The songs do not look the same and yet they are linked. I am eager to defend it on stage.”
