Pardon Us are streaming a new song, ‘Inconvenient Reminder’!

Pardon Us are streaming a new song, ‘Inconvenient Reminder’, taken from their debut album ‘Wait’. The latter will be out in September on Everything Sucks Music (UK), Fixing a Hole (Japan) and Johann’s Face Records (USA).

pardon us

On this song, the band reveals:

The song is a message to those seeking asylum in the UK that they are welcome here. That they shouldn’t listen to self-serving politicians and populist opportunists stoking the fires of xenophobic and racist sentiment to grab votes and advance their own public careers.

We didn’t set out to write political songs like this initially. But the Brexit vote has emboldened fascists and racists in the UK to a worrying degree that we simply couldn’t ignore in our songwriting. The world needs more voices of understanding and tolerance and we’re proud to be able to contribute to that in our music.”
