Synth driven pop punk outfit The Rocket aims to bring a refreshing take on the classics we all grew up with. With a keen ear for infectious melodies and an illustrious live reputation, the band has played big stages such as Groezrock, Europe’s biggest punk rock festival.
After a break to pursue other musical endeavours, The Rocket are back in full effect. Their new album ‘Another Reason Not to Fear the Sky’, is proof of the reinvigorated energy and ambition the quintet brings to the table.
The band has recently unveiled a music video for their track “Focus.” A music video that you guys can indeed discover below! Guitarist Stijn is keen to give us more info about this song:
“It’s a track for which I wrote the lyrics, and it might be one of the heaviest songs on the album, lyrically. It’s about someone really close to me dying when I was a teenager, or rather it’s about me dealing with her dying in a really bad way.
I think that’s an important distinction to make. The song is about trying to wake up from a slumber that lasted half my life and moving on from self-pity to – hopefully – something better and more constructive.”
FOCUS! So proud to present the video for Focus, the opening track for our new album Another Reason Not to Fear the Sky!Lyrically, this is one of the most personal songs on the album. Musically, it's a heavier track than your average Rocket song. But hey, we were feeling it so here we are! #arntfts
