Freiburg, Germany-based indie-punks The Deadnotes have revealed a hard-hitting and emotional video for their new single ‘Makeup’. The latter is out now on their own newly-established 22Lives Records.
“It really kills us to see so many people struggling with themselves,” comments the band on the inspiration behind the single and video. “Unable to find comfort simply with the way they are or how they act. And instead harming themselves by trying to be different. The song is ostensibly a socially critical song tackling beauty ideals and the way people judge each other.”
