Channeling the essence of these dark days into music, Halflives are back with their new single “Villain”. The latter was produced by Nicholas Goncalves (8 Graves). It touches on human nature, responsibility and the dark side we all have.
The song is inspired by vocalist / songwriter Linda Battilani’s life experiences. But also TV and film which contributed to her artistic creation after consuming a lot of it this year during lockdown.
This is what vocalist Linda Battilani had to say about the song. “Villain is for anyone who has ever experienced a toxic relationship of any kind that brought out the worst part of themselves. Sometimes, we hurt each other so badly that we don’t know who’s right and who’s wrong anymore. We’re always the villain in someone else’s story.”
