Islander have dropped their new single and video, “Crazy Crazy World”. The band consists of brothers Mikey Carvajal and Chris Carvajal, with bandmate Erik Shea.
The melancholic new song shows the dynamic range the band has when it comes to songwriting. Often known for their combinations of different genres, “Crazy Crazy World” is a combination of Alternative, Rock, Hip-Hop among other genres. The chorus of the song calls out a message familiar to all of us in 2020. “It’s a crazy crazy world, we’re living in a crazy crazy world”.
The somber tone is further illustrated in the music video, which follows AEW wrestler Sting in his wrestling attire as he goes about his day. But even with the sad melancholy of the song, the video ends on a hopeful note as Sting purchases a sandwich for a person in need and sits with him as they eat together.
